About the role

We're looking for a passionate, people-first Slasher or Freelancer to join our team as our Music Community & Content Coordinator. This position blends community building with content creation. You'll spend half your time connecting with musicians, coordinating projects, and expanding our network — and the other half working alongside our existing content team to bring those stories to life on Instagram.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively connect with local musicians, buskers, producers, and industry contacts via DMs, livehouse visits, and events

• Pitch and coordinate collaborations between Addoilmusic and emerging artists

• Follow up on masterclass sign-ups, ticket sales, and brand sponsorship opportunities

• Represent Addoilmusic at gigs, showcases, and community events

• Help grow our roster of collaborators, attendees, and partners

• Work alongside our existing content team to plan and produce high-quality IG Reels, Stories, and posts

• Contribute ideas, hooks, and captions that resonate with a music-loving audience

• Edit short-form video using CapCut, Canva, or similar tools

• Write engaging bilingual copy in Traditional Chinese and English

• Stay on top of viral music trends, formats, and platform updates

About you

• A freelancer and slasher with a highly flexible schedule who thrives in a non-traditional work environment

• Genuine passion for HK music with understanding of the local culture

• Strong content sense and knowledge of video editing tools such as CapCut, Premiere, and Canva

• Excellent bilingual communication and copywriting skills in Traditional Chinese and English

• 1–3 years of experience in social media, community building, or the music/entertainment industry is a strong plus

• Bonus: existing connections in the HK music scene

• Bonus: experience with IG boosted posts or Meta Ads

• Bonus: experience organising gigs, playing in a band, DJing, or busking
