Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform the research, analysis, design and development of new technologies, techniques, and systems for Lidar related R&D projects
- Development of FMCW Lidar system
- Work with free space optic designer to develop the lidar transmitter, scanner, lens system, and receiver for the lidar
- Work with FPGA and hardware engineer to develop the control and data acquisition system for the lidar
- Maintain detailed documentation in product development stages.
- Handle any other relevant responsibilities and/or functions as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
- PhD degree in Science or Engineering or related disciplines.
- Minimum of 5 years research experience related to free space or fiber optic sensing or communication system.
- Legally permitted to work in Hong Kong
- Good R&D experience and knowledge in at least one of following expertise:
- Knowledge in modeling software such Zemax, Oslo, Tracepro, etc
- Strong knowledge in free space optical system
- Strong knowledge in fiber optic system
- Good knowledge in signal processing
- Experience in FPGA programming
- Good team player, dynamic and hardworking.
- Good command in spoken and written English.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work under pressure and simultaneously manage multiple projects.
- Strong work ethics and integrity. Experience in project management and negotiation skills is advantageous.
- Good knowledge in computer e.g. Words, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
