Overview
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Financial Researcher to join our team, focusing on Mainland China and cross-border clients. The role involves in-depth financial analysis, investment strategy research, client relationship management, and provides strategic support to drive business decisions. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial modeling and quantitative analysis skills, excellent communication abilities, and the flexibility to travel frequently for client engagements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including valuation, risk assessment, and investment structuring for Mainland China clients.
- Develop and maintain financial and quantitative models to support performance evaluation, forecasting, strategy back-testing, and attribution analysis.
- Prepare regular financial reports, dashboards, and performance summaries for supporting senior staff to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Analyze key financial metrics and market trends, monitor macroeconomic policies and industry developments, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Assist in client relationship management, including support senior staff preparing meeting materials, responding to inquiries, and delivering presentations onsite or remotely.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Product, Data, and Risk to optimize data extraction and reporting workflows (e.g., SQL/HQL).
- Evaluate cross-border financing opportunities (debt/equity) and M&A scenarios using advanced modeling techniques (DCF, LBO, credit analysis).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in financial analysis, investment research, quantitative modeling, or client-facing roles, with exposure to Mainland China markets.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with SQL, Python/R, or BI tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin (fluency required for client engagement and international reporting).
- Knowledge of China and cross-border regulatory frameworks (e.g., QFII) is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and client management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment.
- Willingness to travel frequently to key cities in Mainland China and international hubs.
