We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Jewelry Designer to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for jewelry design, a strong understanding of market trend, and the ability to create innovative and unique pieces that align with our brand vision.

Core duties and responsibilities

• Design and concept development: Design and develop original jewelry collections from concept to production, including mood board, sketches and drawings.

• Design in different aspects: Create core jewelry collections, B2B customized designs and GWP designs.

• Material selection: Choose and evaluate metals, stones, and other materials for aesthetic and technical suitability.

• Presentations: present design concepts to stakeholders and incorporate feedback into final designs.

• Internal collaboration: Participate in meetings and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to refine design concept, materials, hardware, and to understand the needs and preferences form market point of view.

• Cost management: Assess production costs to ensure designs are commercially viable. 

• Production oversight: Provide detailed technical drawings, work with manufacturers to guide the production process, oversee quality, approve prototypes and samples, ensuring quality and craftmanship standards are met.

• New Product research and development: Constantly keep up with new techniques and materials. Supplier visits to develops new designs based on different unique founds. Occasional travel to China may be required, if necessary, though this will not be frequent.

• Trend research: Conduct research on current jewelry trends, materials, and techniques to inform design decisions.

• Annual product planning: Plan ahead coming year collections by analyzing past sales feedbacks and market trends, collaborate with production team members to establish timeline, budgets, and goal for each collection.

• Finishing and repair: Might need to involved in help checking repaired items, to ensure that the jewelry is identical to its original design.

Essential skills and qualifications

• Creativity and artistic vision: A strong sense of fashion, aesthetics and the ability to create innovative designs.

• Professional Qualification: Min. 6 years experiences in fine fashion jewelry designs field. Diploma or Degree in Jewelry Design or related discipline.

• Technical proficiency: Excellent in both hand-sketching and computer software such as Illustrator or Photoshop. Knowledge of jewelry-making techniques like casting, soldering, and stone setting. Knowledge of Jewelry CAD software is an advantage. Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity and technical skills in jewelry design.

• Material knowledge: Understanding of different metals, gemstones, and their properties.

• Manufacturing process experience: In-depth Experience of jewelry manufacturing process, including casting, stone setting, finishing and quality control. Able to work with manufacturers to optimize production methods and address technical challenges.

• Communication skills: Ability to effectively communicate ideas to clients, production teams, and stakeholders. Good command of spoken and written English, Chinese and Mandarin.

• Business and project management: Experience with managing projects, deadlines, and sometimes a budget to create a sustainable and profitable business model for company. Monitor industry best practices, recommend new design approaches, and identify upcoming trends, new segments, and new businesses opportunities.
