Assistant Manager, Corporate Development

Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Director, Corporate Development
  • Actively participate in the entire M&A process including inorganic strategies, market scans, target valuation, due diligence and deal negotiations
  • Develop financial models and conduct rigorous financial analysis to provide detailed guidance and scenarios into potential acquisitions and other strategic opportunities
  • Conduct strategic analyses of growth opportunities to analyze key market, customer, product and industry trends, and articulate required organic and inorganic options to meet growth objectives
  • Manage multiple business initiatives in a fast-paced environment
  • Prepare and communicate opportunities effectively to executive management and the board
  • Define and manage a pipeline of potential targets (with cross-functional team inputs) with a systematic process to prioritize target along the pipeline for further diligence
  • Monitor progress of acquisitions post-integration to ensure ongoing success and report metrics and recommended actions to management

Requirements:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Finance or similar disciplines, preferably with CFA qualification
  • At least 5 years of business/ corporate development experience
  • Excellent valuation/ analytical skills with keen business sense
  • Strong written & verbal communication, presentation and meeting facilitation skills
  • Ability to effectively interface with the commercial organization, finance, legal, and executive management
  • Good team player with strong problem-solving skill and creativity
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese)
  • Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Word)
