Design Manager

Job Summary:

Avnet aims to establish an internationally competitive ICT cluster, accelerate digital development in high-value added software, AI, and microelectronics, and spearhead Hong Kong’ s data economy. It focuses on high-performance computing, AI, 3D AR/VR, and embedded edge/cloud computing. It supports innovative research across various domains including medicine, education, aviation, and smart manufacturing systems.

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scientist to develop and optimize advanced 3D generative AI systems integrating large language models (LLMs). The successful candidate will lead research initiatives with impactful applications in medicine, education, and aviation, enhancing diagnostic tools, educational platforms, and aerospace design.


Responsibilities:

  • Research and Development: Participate in the development of technologies that transform multimodal information into high-fidelity 3D models, aiming to reduce the latency and enhance the detail and accuracy of these models for applications in critical sectors such as healthcare, aviation, education, and industrial systems.

  • Collaboration and Networking: Collaborate with industry and academic leaders to enhance the lab’s R&D efforts. Foster partnerships that support developing and applying innovative research outcomes, advancing the lab’s scientific and technological objectives.

  • Publication and Dissemination: Produce high-quality research publications and present findings at major conferences and symposia, contributing to the scientific community and enhancing the lab’s visibility.


Requirements:

  • PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields, from a local university or world top 100 university.

  • Expertise in Advanced AI Techniques: experience in deep learning, 3D computer vision, and Transformer or diffusion model architectures for real-time data processing and decision-making.

  • Experience with multimodal LLMs: Skilled in using LLMs to enhance multimodal information interpretation and representation learning in complex applications.

  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and derive actionable insights from large datasets using Python, PyTorch, R, or MATLAB, with a focus on precision and high efficiency.

  • Excellent communication and cooperation skills.
