Responsibilities

• Lead a SHEQ team to support the development and facilitate implementation of Integrated Management System (Quality, Environment, Occupational Health and Safety) of the Group.
• Establish and Review Corporate objectives and targets on safety management, including quality, environmental protection, occupational health and safety for conformance by business units of the Group.
• Supervise the SHEQ team to monitor implementation of IMS in the Group, including risk scanning, incident review and investigation support, safety and quality assurance with trainings, assurance of regulations compliance and maintenance of subcontractor registration system etc.
• Lead a loss prevention team to handle public liability claims and reports, investigations and legal proceedings
• To organize annual external ISO audits for the Group and to conduct regular internal audits to ensure achievement and conformance
• Conduct regular reviews of the departmental manual, ISO manual and procedures, IMS Plan, Risk Management and Safety Plan, legal requirements registry and training materials etc., maintain relevant documentation and facilities, including ensuring the objectives and requirements with associated trainings are well-delivered to internal parties and registered subcontractors.
• Attend meetings with Clients and provide recommendations on improvements of operations as required
• Conduct site inspections and provide recommendations on preventive and corrective measures to internal parties and registered subcontractors to ensure operations safety
• Provide professional advices to other Departments in relation to SHEQ issues and prepare risk assessment report for projects.
• Provide monthly reports in regard with staff injury cases and third parties incidents, and training ratio reports etc. for Management’s review
• Provide support to EC legal cases and handle with Solicitor for other legal cases against the Group.
• Provide support to tender bidding team includes but not limited to writing up of Safety Plan/Environmental Plan and attending assessment interview
• Lead the team to handle ad-hoc tasks arisen from daily operations.

Requirements

• Degree in Safety / Crisis Management or a related discipline
• A minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience, of which 4 years should be at managerial level
• Possession of professional qualification from a recognized professional institution in safety, engineering or crisis management
• Registered Safety Officer is preferred.
• Knowledge of safety management system models and standards such as ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 and experience in conducting hazard management, safety risk assessments and other international safety management system assessment criteria is preferred
• A self-starter, innovative and eager to achieve
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with strong leadership
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Cantonese
• Experienced in environmental industry is an advantage
• Candidates with less experiences may be considered as SHEQ Manager.
