(Senior) Custody Manager, Business Legal

Responsibilities:

  • Lead contract negotiations and establish contractual standards.
  • Independently negotiate and manage business contracts, articulating key legal and business issues and solutions effectively.
  • Communicate proficiently in both English and Mandarin with all levels of business staff and legal counsel.
  • Oversee custody and clearing, global custody, network custody, securities lending, and collateral management.
  • Manage licensed data agreements with attention to detail and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on business objectives and legal requirements.
  • Provide training and guidance on contract management processes to internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 5 years or above experience with legal qualifications or equivalent negotiation experience in trustee company or regulated financial institution.
  • Proven ability to negotiate complex business contracts independently.
  • In-depth knowledge of custody and settlement processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese (including Mandarin).
  • Ability to articulate legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
