Responsibilities 

• Portfolio management excellence: Strategically manage tax compliance and other tax service needs for a diverse portfolio of corporate and individual clients with technical competence, operational efficiency and professionalism.

• Strategic advisory execution: Deliver quality tax advisory services with clear directions and strategies, managing the engagements on a day-to-day basis to guide clients through tax opportunities and tax issues resolution.

• Business development: Actively participate in business development initiatives, cultivating networks and identifying new opportunities for growth.

• Stakeholder engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, tax authorities, external advisors, and key stakeholders to facilitate work execution and identify potential business opportunities.

• Team leadership: Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous development.

• Thought leadership: Share insights, contribute knowledge development and stay abreast of industry trends.

• Uphold BDO’s policies and values, aligning your work with global vision and core competencies by adhering to standard protocols and procedures as a professional accountant.

Requirements

• Degree holder, preferably major in accounting or related disciplines.

• Qualified accountant with at least 10 years of relevant experience gained from sizable accounting firm and industry.

• Strong problem-solving skills, analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex tax legislation, case law and international tax materials.

• Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Mandarin.

• Articulate and efficient communicator with a flair for delivering ideas clearly and persuasively.

• Self-driven and passionate about both developing our own business and providing exceptional quality service to clients.

• Proactive highly self-organized professional with a strong sense of responsibility, capable of leading teams effectively while also excelling in independent work.

• Candidate with less experience would be considered as Senior Manager

• Preference will be given to candidates who are immediately available.
