RP1.2s Project title: Anti-Myopia Electronic Displays: Making Screens Eye-Safe for Children
Project information: This project is to make digital-device screens that are eye-safe for children by counteracting the screen-based signals that contribute to the onset and progression of myopia.
Required skills and job duty:
The appointees will assist the project leaders in the research project: “Anti-Myopia Electronic Displays: Making Screens Eye-Safe for Children”. The tasks include project development, study design/protocol, ethics application, experimental setup, literature research, model testing, project development, hardware and software development for innovative instrument, data collection, data analysis and preparation of manuscript. The talent is also required to assist commercialization of the invention whenever applicable.
Qualification
Applicants for the Postdoctoral Fellow posts should have a doctoral degree or an equivalent qualification in Vision Science, Psychology, Neuroscience, Optometry, Ophthalmology, Applied Physics, Optics, Chemical Technology, Materials Science & Engineering, Health Technology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Ophthalmic Optics, Cheminformatics, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Biomedical Engineering, Bioinformatics, Rehabilitation or other related disciplines.
Applicants for the Research Associate posts should have a master’s degree or an equivalent qualification in one of the said disciplines.
Applicants for the Research Assistant posts should have an honours degree or an equivalent qualification in one of the said disciplines.
The appointees shall be working in Hong Kong China. Overseas graduate is welcome to apply, the qualification awarding institution should be the top 100 institutions for STEM-related subjects in QS/Shanghai Jiao Tong Uni/Times Higher Education world university rankings. Remuneration
Monthly salary: Research Assistant (HKD20000); Research Associate (HKD 23000); Postdoctoral Fellow (HKD35000 + living allowance HKD 10000).
