Responsibilities:-

• Responsible for editing, checking facts, and improving copy with professionalism
• Responsible for checking wires and other news sources, picking and editing stories as assigned
• Writing the best social media posts, knowing when to post
• Using analytical tools to make sure the right report are delivered in a timely way
• Ensuring the quality of all online articles, writing SEO headlines, blurbs and captions
• Ensuring all reports have appropriate, accurate and eye-catching visual elements
• Uploading print content onto the site and completing other assignments as specified
• Identifying new platforms, partnerships, and practices that can drive traffic and grow China Daily’s audience

Requirements:-

• Bachelor’s Degree or above in journalism, media communication, or related disciplines from a reputable university
• Minimum two year experience in publishing / digital media industry preferably. Candidates with more experience will be considered as Senior Web Sub-Editor
• Must have experience working in a fully-wired environment
• Good writing and editing skills with good news sense
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Detail-oriented individual with a strong sense of responsibility, able to work independently and under pressure
