Assistant Officer – Human Resources (Compensation & Benefits)

How you will make an impact: 

The job holder will support the HR department in managing various HR functions with a focus on Compensation and Benefits (C&B). This role requires hands-on experience in payroll processing and a solid understanding of employment legislation and requirements. The ideal candidate will assist in ensuring compliance with legal standards while promoting a fair and equitable compensation structure within the organization.

  • Payroll Administration: Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Address payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve any discrepancies.

  • Compensation and Benefits Management: Assist in the administration of employee compensation and benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks. Support the development and implementation of compensation strategies that align with organizational goals.

  • Compliance and Legislation: Stay updated on relevant employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance in all HR practices. Assist in preparing reports and documentation required for audits and compliance reviews.

  • Employee Records Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records related to payroll, benefits, and compensation. Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive employee information.

  • Support HR Initiatives: Collaborate with HR team members on various projects and initiatives, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement activities. Provide administrative support for HR programs and events.

What we are looking for: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in payroll processing and compensation management

  • Familiarity with labor laws and employment regulations.

  • Proficient in HRIS or payroll software.

  • Knowledge of compensation structures and benefits administration.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
