Analyst Programmer (BI, Data Warehouse)

Job Description:

  • To create and design reports using BI tools (e.g. Cognos, Tableau)
  • To collaborate with users to understand their data needs and reporting requirements; 
  • To provide technical support to users on application of the IT system; 
  • To assist in quality control and quality assurance in the SDLC; and 
  • To perform any works assigned by supervisor. 

Requirements:

  • Higher Diploma or above in Information Technology or related subjects
  • At least 3 years experience in related job duties
  • Experience in system development life cycle of an IT system; 
  • Strong understanding of SQL and experience with databases (e.g. Oracle, DB2, SQL Server); 
  • Familiarity with data warehousing principles and ETL processes; 
  • Experience in BI Tools (such as Cognos, Tableau); 
  • Experience in government projects is required;
  • Experiences and skills in large-scale enterprise application development projects using Java is preferable; 
  • Experience with report development tools and techniques; and 
  • Strong analytic mind and problem solving techniques.
