Analyst Programmer (Java, Python)

Job Description:

  • Provide IT support to the implementation of revised visibility module of the Forecast Verification System (FCV), and testing and development of new modules such as rainfall and elements.
  • Integrate new and existing web applications of the Forecast Verification System, and other Intranet pages, tools and portals such as machine-learning probabilistic rainfall forecast
  • Provide IT support for other time-limited project needs 
  • Support scientific studies on reliability and performance of various tools.
  • Prepare documentation and training 

Requirement Details:

  • Higher Diploma or above in Computing 
  • At least 3-4 working experience in application development 
  • Proficient in software development using JAVA, with knowledge in Python.
  • Experience in PostgreSQL, Oracle SQL, and Unix/Linux shell scripting.
  • Experience in version control tools such as GitLab or GitHub.
  • Knowledge of development of machine learning or artificial intelligence (AI) applications is a plus, not a must
  • Good communication skills
