GIS Specialist (Application Development, ArcDSE, over $50K)

Job Duties:

  • To analyze, integrate, report and present the system status and required data 
  • To provide technical, specialist advice and consultation in IT areas for office operation, development of TIMS and system integration, such as data analysis and modelling, network, methodologies, quality, security, IT benchmarking, and best practice studies
  • To handle other ad-hoc IT related duties, including but not limited to:-
  • To monitor and supervise the IT service contractors, and adopting hands on approach if required
  • To coordinate with other offices and divisions.

Job Requirement:

  • Degree or above in Computer Science or related subjects
  • At least 4 years' experience in IT industry
  • At least 4 years post-qualification experience in IT system development and maintenance
  • At least 3 years post-qualification experience in GIS applications development, GIS system maintenance and support such as ArcDSE
  • At least 2 years' practical experience in implementation, system integration and maintenance with enterprise dataset applications
  • At least 1 year experience in mobile phone application development
  • At least 1 year experience in .net C# programming and ArcSDE
  • Good communication skills
