Infrastructure Engineer (Cloud/VMware/Linux, over $40K)

Job Description:

  • Research, evaluate, emerging cloud and latest server / networking / storage / firewall / security technologies
  • Leading and managing vendors and/or contractors for relevant development projects
  • Advise and liaise with stakeholders on project development initiation and on computer-related activities
  • Configure, maintain, diagnose, analyse, and resolve network problems and security vulnerabilities encountered during/after network implementation tasks
  • Construct network diagram and system flow-chart.
  • Prepare guidelines and procedures for the operation and maintenance tasks.
  • Design and test backup / restore procedure.
  • Provide technical documentation and support on conducting Security Risk Assessment and Audit (SRAA)
  • Collaborate with data engineers to design and implement data storage and retrieval systems that support AI model training and testing processes

Requirement Details:

  • Degree in Computer subjects or IT related disciplines
  • At least four 4 years’ post-qualification information technology experience of which 2 years must be in similar post and in comparable capacity
  • At least two 2 years’ in network infrastructure/system support, operate and maintain, preferably with solid experience in enterprise network project design, implementation and manage, also the management of Contractor/Vendor
  • At least one 1 year’s knowledge and experience in managing cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, HuaWei, etc.
  • At least one 1 year’s knowledge and experience in managing application systems using container deployment, such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • At least one (1) year&;#8217; knowledge and experience in managing virtualization environment such as VMware or HyperV
  • Solid experience in Linux and system administration is a must.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in server resilient technology and infrastructure design
  • Possession of Cloud related professional / Networking / Virtualization / Security certifications is an advantage.
