Infrastructure Support Engineer (Public sector, $30-50K)

Job Duties:

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain environments across one or more of the following technologies:
  • Middleware: WebLogic
  • Databases: Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL
  • Operating Systems: Windows, AIX, Linux
  • Cloud & Platforms: AWS, OpenShift
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure system reliability, performance, and security.
  • Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes, including root cause analysis and preventive action planning.
  • Support the implementation of SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) practices to improve system reliability, scalability, and automation.
  • Utilize test automation tools to support continuous integration, deployment, and validation processes.
  • Contribute to documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Assist in capacity planning, performance tuning, and disaster recovery activities.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree in Information Technology or related subjects
  • Proven experience in supporting at least one of the following: WebLogic, Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL, Windows, AIX, Linux, AWS, or OpenShift
  • Knowledge of test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent) is a plus
  • Willingness and ability to provide 24x7 pager support on a roster basis.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure during critical incidents.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Relevant certification (e.g., AWS, Oracle, Red Hat, Microsoft) is a plus.
