Senior Procurement Officer (UAT Testing)

Job Duties:

  • Execute and conduct various test cases along the end-to-end business process for Procurement Modules in the new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution according to the detailed test plans and validate the system could meet the business requirements and performs as expected.
  • Identify, document and track bugs & defects found during testing then work with the system implementation vendor to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Provide support during user acceptance testing (UAT) and assist end-users with testing activities to ensure a smooth transition throughout the testing phase
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, IT, and the system implementation vendor to ensure alignment on testing objectives and outcomes
  • Provide regular status updates, findings and comprehensive test reports on testing progress, defects & risks for communication with various stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, tools & methodologies.
  • Prepare end user training materials and conduct end user training; liaise with end users for retest on areas with bugs identified; constantly identify common difficulties encountered by end users & prepare quick tips for using new ERP
  • Carry out other ad-hoc duties related to ERP as and when required

Requirements:

  • Degree / Professional Diploma in Purchasing, Business Administration Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement & supply chain roles, experience with ERP systems such as SAP & Oracle is highly preferred
  • With good business acumen in Procurement & Contracts business processes and workflows particularly in supplier management, sourcing & procure-to-pay
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and detail-oriented with strong organizational and effective communication skills
  • Prior experience on ERP implementation projects and in particular in the testing of Procurement related modules/system functionalities would be highly preferred
  • Candidate with less experience also be considered
