Server Administrator (Apache, Unix/Linux Shell Script, over $40K)

Job Duties:

  • Liaise with different system owners and gather systems settings, configurations and their data flow from system owners; create, review and revise their DR plans
  • Provide on-site hands-on implementation support at data centre for the installation and configuration of hardware and software as well as services deployment
  • Provide troubleshooting support in all stages of the project during the contract period
  • Assist the Project Manager to coordinate with stakeholders to perform tests and DR drills
  • Provide documentation and training to staffs

Requirements:

  • Higher Diploma or above in Information Technology or equivalent
  • At least 3 years working experience in IT industry 
  • Proficient in Apache and Nginx web servers and configuration
  • Experience in Linux administration and shell scripting
  • Experience in web application deployment on Linux platform
  • Knowledge of web programming using PHP, HTML5, JavaScript, JSON, XML, Node.js and MySQL
  • Possesses good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience in data centre operation and maintenance, and Content Delivery Network (CDN) configuration would be an advantage
