System Engineer (Wan Chai, 5 days work, over $40K)

Job Duties:

  • Keep track of performance indicators/ alerts of the System, and follow up with contractors
  • Assist in compilation of maintenance reports, preparation of statistics and system documentation
  • Provide maintenance support including implementation and upgrades of both hardware and software
  • Support incident/issue handling for round-the-clock running systems
  • Carry out duties outside office at data centers over the territory
  • Any other duties assigned by the supervisors

Job Requirement:

  • Higher Diploma or above in Computer Science or related subjects
  • At least 3 years' experience in IT industry
  • Good knowledge and experience in supporting and maintaining systems running on cloud platform and deploying of metro-Ethernet networks and switches, routers, and firewalls
  • Understanding of load balancers, internet gateways, proxy services, domain name services, Linux platform, docker / container technologies, backup services and virtualisation technologies
