Unix Administrator (Kwun Tong, Over 60K)

Job Description:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Unix systems and servers to ensure optimal performance and reliability
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive measures to minimize downtime
  • Manage and maintain server virtualization and system backup operations
  • Develop and execute shell scripts for automation and system maintenance tasks
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to support system upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery planning
  • Maintain system documentation, including configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
  • Provide ongoing support and respond to technical issues to ensure uninterrupted operations

 

Requirement Details:

  • Higher Diploma or above in Computer Science or related subjects
  • At least 5 years of extensive experience in Unix/Linux system administration and WebSphere Application Server
  • Proficiency in Unix shell scripting for automation and maintenance
  • Strong expertise in system monitoring tools and performance optimization
  • Familiarity with disaster recovery planning and implementation
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities
