Web & AI Programmer (Python, $35-45K)

Job Description:

  • Support AI model development and the implementation of related forecast applications
  • Enhance and optimize the operational workflow, data management and post-processing efficiency of weather prediction model outputs in the AAIMS computing platform and HPC system
  • Support testing and optimisation of the software of HPC system
  • Gather and define user requirements for forecasting application implementation and visualization
  • Design and maintain databases for storing model outputs and performance metrics
  • Prepare documentation on system and software development
  • Transfer knowledge of assigned tasks

Requirement Details:

  • Higher Diploma / Degree in Information Technology or related subjects
  • At least 4 years in IT industry
  • Experience in Unix/Linux shell scripts and Python
  • Experience in version control for managing and sharing team project
  • Experience in web development using HTML, JavaScript and CSS
  • Experience in HPC environment
  • Experience in AI model development and training is a plus
  • Experience in database system is a plus. Experience in scientific programming languages (e.g. R, Fortran) is a plus
