COLLEGE OF PROFESSIONAL AND CONTINUING EDUCATION

College of Professional and Continuing Education (CPCE) was founded in 2002 as a self-financed college of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). CPCE oversees the operation and development of its two educational units, namely Hong Kong Community College (HKCC) and School of Professional Education and Executive Development (SPEED), with the aim of fostering synergy in providing quality education.

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a) provide support to the planning and execution of activities related to marketing and student admission, branding, corporate communication and major college events;

(b) contribute to the creation of promotion and advertising literature, with an emphasis on writing and editing text-based materials;

(c) assist in office administration duties;

(d) liaise with different units of CPCE and PolyU, and outside service vendors;

(e) supervise junior staff, and

(f) perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a) a recognised degree;

(b) at least five years of solid relevant and supervisory experience;

(c) excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese;

(d) excellent interpersonal and communication skills;

(e) good computing skills;

(f) an eye for details, and

(g) a passion for quality work.

Applicants with less experience will be considered for the post of Marketing and Communications Officer.

A good understanding of the post-secondary education scene in Hong Kong, in particular the self-financed sub-degree sector, will be an advantage. Priority will be given to those who are not only experienced in administrative work but also adept at text-based tasks.

Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

An attractive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be made on a two-year contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
