Assistant Finance Manager

The Assistant Finance Manager is responsible for ensuring the organization's financial health by managing budgets, forecasts, financial reports, and compliance. This role is essential for strategic planning and decision-making, as it provides financial insights and recommendations to senior management.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the monthly consolidated financial statements and management report;

  • Oversee the accounting function and review the financial performance of various overseas entities;

  • Coordination and work with hotels to meet the month end closing process, submit financial statements and complete the annual operating and capital budgets and forecasts;

  • Prepare cash flow and performance analysis;

  • Review appropriate tax returns, filings and statutory financial reports;

  • Liaise with external professional parties such as auditors and tax consultants and banks when necessary;

  • Handle other ad hoc assignments instructed by the management.


Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting or equivalent professional qualification;

  • At least 3 years’ work experience;

  • Practical experience in problem diagnosis and variance analysis;

  • Experience in the hospitality/real estate or overseas operation is preferable;

  • Good financial/operational systems knowledge (e.g. Oracle, Sun, SAP);

  • Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently;

  • Must be results-oriented and possess sound business judgment;

  • Self-motivated, proactive with strong analytical and problem-solving skills;

  • Good command in written and spoken English.
