Senior/Fixed Income Credit Analyst, (Derivatives)

Key Responsibilities

Your primary role is in traditional credit analysis:

  • Credit Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth fundamental credit analysis on designated issuers, including financial modeling, covenant review, and industry benchmarking. Produce clear, concise, and actionable internal research reports.

  • Investment Ideation: Generate high-conviction investment ideas and timely thematic reports on global credit markets. Identify high-quality bond selections with actionable investment and trading ideas.

  • Portfolio Monitoring: Proactively monitor existing holdings for credit deterioration, downgrading, market events, and other risk factors. Alert the team promptly to any material changes or adverse factors. Assist with any portfolio administration tasks.

  • Data Integrity & Modeling: Ensure the accuracy of portfolio data. Maintain and develop financial models for earnings, valuation, and scenario analysis.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with issuers, investment bankers, and rating agencies to gather critical market intelligence.

  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and report on key risks, including but not limited to interest rate, liquidity, and counterparty risks. Generate macro views on the global economy while staying informed of regulatory changes, geopolitical events, and currency policies that impact the money market.

  • Team Support: Support stress testing, position checking, internal audit processes, act as a gatekeeper on policy making, and support any ad hoc projects.

Your secondary role is to provide derivative support:

  • Act as a derivative specialist, working alongside the portfolio team to provide bespoke and customized derivative solutions aligning with hedging strategies for our fixed income portfolios. Provide guidance on derivative tools, market trends, and risk management strategies.

  • Monitor trends in interest rates, foreign exchange, and other FX-associated derivatives; conduct analysis on volatility arbitrage, dispersion, and correlation.

  • Demonstrate astute market awareness and thorough understanding of the investment mandates, and participate in the negotiation of ISDA agreements.
