Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior IT Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the IT infrastructure, applications, support, and services across two sites: EDPS and Kitchee Football Club, ensuring optimal performance, security, and support for our diverse operations. You will report directly to the IT Manager and work closely with various teams to deliver high-quality IT services.
Responsibilities:
· Oversee and manage the daily IT operations, ensuring that all systems, including Microsoft 365 applications (Office, Exchange, Teams), email, phone systems, networks, audiovisual equipment, and backend systems are functioning optimally.
· Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
· Administer and provide ongoing support for the company’s ERP system, ensuring it operates smoothly and effectively meets user needs.
· Direct the comprehensive management of the company website, focusing on regular maintenance, timely updates, and robust security monitoring.
· Coordinate effectively with external vendors or developers to optimize website performance, ensuring a user-friendly experience aligned with company branding.
· Enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices across the organization to protect sensitive information and maintain data integrity.
· Deliver cybersecurity awareness training to staff, educating them on security protocols, phishing threats, and safe usage of company resources while applying security patches and implementing system hardening strategies.
· Maintain and support a reliable IT infrastructure, including servers, network systems, communication tools, and security systems, to ensure optimal performance and availability.
· Periodically review and assess infrastructure performance, identifying opportunities for upgrades or enhancements.
· Provide comprehensive support for end-user devices, including configuring, upgrading, and troubleshooting desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
· Conduct regular audits and testing of backup systems to ensure data can be reliably restored when needed.
· Manage and coordinate ad-hoc IT projects and assignments as required, demonstrating flexibility and resourcefulness.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that meet organizational goals and address specific needs.
· Perform other ad hoc tasks and projects as required.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, providing a strong foundation in technical principles and IT management.
Over 3 years of proven experience in IT infrastructure management, demonstrating a track record of effective operations and support in a professional environment.
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Microsoft 365 administration, with proficiency in applications such as Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, and Exchange Online, enabling effective collaboration and communication within the organization.
Experience in managing ERP systems and website operations is preferred, contributing to a well-rounded skill set that enhances organizational capability.
Demonstrated experience in project coordination and vendor management, showcasing the ability to lead initiatives and liaise effectively with external partners.
Professional certifications such as CCNA, MCSE, or AWS is a plus.
Understanding of information security principles; ISO 27001 knowledge is a plus.
Fluency in both English and Cantonese.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that facilitate effective collaboration with team members, stakeholders, and external vendors, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Self-motivated with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of diagnosing issues and developing solutions that enhance system performance.
Willingness to provide support outside of regular office hours when necessary.
