Job Description
(a) To manage, coordinate, and oversee projects and/or events; (b) To handle procurement matters for the projects and/or events; (c) To assist in overseeing and implementing the marketing strategies formulated by consulting firms engaged for providing promotional strategies and framework for projects and/or events; (d) To liaise with different contractors, agencies and other relevant parties involved in projects and/or events; (e) To provide support in publicity work related to the projects and/or events includes but not limited to editing and reviewing social media contents, developing publicity strategies on social media platforms to boost the projects and/or event's visibility and engage target participants; and (f) To perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
(a) A Hong Kong bachelor's degree, or equivalent [See Notes (1) and (2)]; (b) Met the language proficiency requirements of Level 3 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [See Note (3)]; (c) At least 6 years' post-degree [as specified in (a)] working experience in (i) administration and (ii) project and/or event management [See Note (4)]; (d) Possess working experience in project and/or events management of large-scale activities and have worked in government bureaux/departments preferred; (e) Excellent command of both English and Chinese; (f) Excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills; (g) Good computer skills and knowledge of computer software, including Chinese and English input methods; and (h) Applicants will be required to attend an interview and a written test.? (3) For appointment purpose, 'Grade C' and 'Grade E' in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to 'Level 3' and 'Level 2' respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth. (4) Applicants should mark clearly in their application forms the nature and relevancy of post-qualification experience. (5) The Standing Committee on Language Education and Research (SCOLAR) was established in 1996 to advise Government on language education issues in general as well as on the use of the Language Fund.
Terms of Appointment: Successful candidates will be employed on non-civil service contract terms for 1 year.
Remuneration
$64,780 per month
Fringe Benefits (a) 14 days annual leave and full pay sickness allowance whereas rest days, statutory holidays(or substituted holidays), maternity leave / paternity leave, where appropriate, will be granted in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance. (b) A gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will be equal to 10% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
