The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated IT Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex infrastructure and application implementation projects for our clients. In this client-facing role, you will be the central point of contact, responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle from initiation to closure. You will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, exceeding client expectations.

This is a critical role that requires a blend of technical understanding, exceptional project management discipline, and outstanding stakeholder communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Project Leadership: Lead and manage multiple IT infrastructure and/or application deployment projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to the defined scope, schedule, and budget.

• Project Planning & Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed work breakdowns, resource allocation, risk management plans, and communication strategies.

• Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary liaison between the client, internal technical teams, third-party vendors, and executive leadership. Proactively manage expectations and ensure clear, consistent communication.

• Risk & Issue Management: Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and issues. Develop contingency plans to ensure project objectives are met.

• Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and provide accurate financial reporting and forecasting.

• Team Coordination: Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams of engineers, consultants, and technicians, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.

• Quality Assurance: Ensure all project deliverables meet or exceed quality standards and client requirements.

• Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and deliver regular project status reports, steering committee presentations, and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Higher Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is mandatory.

• A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Project Manager, specifically managing IT infrastructure or application implementation projects.

• Demonstrable experience working within a System Integrator (SI), vendor, or consulting environment, managing external client projects.

• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Proven ability to manage project scope, budget, and schedule effectively.

• Strong leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Added Advantage)

• Familiarity with VMware vSphere or similar virtualization technologies (e.g., Hyper-V, Nutanix).

• Experience with public cloud projects (Azure, AWS, GCP).

• Knowledge of networking, storage, and server hardware concepts.

• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
