Assistant Health & Safety Manager

Core Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

  • To assist on formulating and reviewing the H&S standards, procedures, policies and manuals and monitors their implementation and related programmes as per group requirements.
  • To conduct assessments, inspections, audits, accident investigations and root cause analysis in relation to safety and risk for workplaces ad work activities.
  • Ensure that statutory obligations and in-house requirements pertaining to health and safety are complied with.
  • Establish a structured programme of health and safety training and maintain training records.
  • Manage and devise the agenda for the Health and Safety Committee meetings. Ensure that all agreed points are completed by the deadlines.
  • Participate in management meetings for both internally and the client to report on relevant health and safety matters.
  • Other duties as assigned by management from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related disciplines
  • Registered Safety Officer of Labour Department
  • Preferably Registered Safety Auditor of Labour Department
  • A minimum 3 years relevant working experience of which at least 1 years at managerial level
  • Excellent command of English & Mandarin 
  • Good communication and analytical skill
  • Self motivated and able to meet deadlines
  • Good command in Google & Microsoft Office, e.g. Power point
