Description & Requirements

This role supports the Head of Sub-contracting in managing all aspects of sub-contractor engagement and commercial activities. The role ensures the implementation of effective subletting strategies, robust contract management, and alignment with project delivery objectives - contributing to the overall commercial success of our Civil projects.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Head of Sub-contracting in formulating and executing subletting strategies across multiple construction projects;
• Lead the assessment, selection, and negotiation of sub-contractor packages in close coordination with project teams;
• Analyze cost data, market trends, and subcontractor performance metrics to drive commercial optimization;
• Collaborate with internal departments—including Procurement, Legal, and Project Management—to ensure seamless execution of subletting activities;
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with sub-contractors and vendors to support long-term partnerships;
• Provide strategic insights and recommendations to enhance subletting efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and risk mitigation.

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or Construction, preferably with MRICS or HKIS professional qualification;
• Minimum of 15 years’ relevant experience with at least 3-5 years subletting experience, ideally within contractor;
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience, with a proven track record of independently managing a team of quantity surveyors;
• Experience with Design and Build and/or NEC contracts is highly desirable;
• Strong commercial and contractual acumen;
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills;
• Strong command of written and spoken Cantonese, English, and Mandarin is essential;
• Candidates with less experience may be considered for the position of Senior Subletting Officer.
