Controller, Production Planning & Controlling

We are currently looking for a high caliber candidate to join our Production Planning Team as “Controller, Production Planning & Controlling"

In this role, you will:

  • Assist the Planning Manager in planning and managing the daily material flow to improve productivity and material cost.
  • Update and adjust the production forecast figures into system on a weekly basis. Review the accuracy periodically and make sure the data connection is correct.
  • Perform daily stocktaking in each kitchen area and create material requisitions. Manage the inventory level to eliminate excessive or deficit stock.
  • Plan material orders and daily production figures strategically. Create and distribute reports for daily production plan among kitchens. Review production plan and report the potential risks to Planning Manager.
  • Assist in processing internal orders between kitchens and deliveries according to the established schedule.
  • Coordinate any stock irregularity in terms of vendor defects, material shortage, quality defect etc. with relevant departments.
  • Monitor the execution of daily production plan and take immediate actions to ensure that the schedule is on the right track.
  • Execute daily checking on inventory reports (Actual vs Theoretical) and take preventive action or adjustment on material order.
  • Contribute in meetings actively and positively (MIB, Menu Cycle Change, or any meeting related to Production / Kitchen).
  • Closely monitor material movement during menu cycle change to avoid shortage or wastage.
  • Communicate and report production updates to Planning Manager on a regular basis.
  • Assist the Planning Manager in any material or process planning projects.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Diploma or above
  • Preferably with 3-5 years of In-flight catering experience or experience in a high-volume food service environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing)
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • 5 days work week with regular shifting (Holidays can be applied on both weekdays and weekends)
  • Immediate availability is preferred
