Junior Trader (Buy-Side)

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate daily trading / trade order placing activities on listed equities and futures

  • Communicate with brokers and various external parties on behalf of the fund manager(s)

  • Maintain Order Management System (OMS), Portfolio Management System (PMS) and day-end processing

  • Handle ad-hoc projects


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics, Financial Engineering, Quantitative Finance or related disciplines.

  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in trading listed equities and futures

  • Prior work experience in sales & trading, buy-side execution trading, data management, IT/programming would be a plus

  • CFA, FRM and/or other relevant qualifications would also be an advantage

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a good command of English

  • Detail-minded and well-organized

  • Solid numerical reasoning ability, with sound IT knowledge and programming capabilities

  • A team player and a self-starter, with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work well under pressure
