The role

This senior management role grants end-to-end operational oversight of our investment and portfolio management activities. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team, build a culture of accountability, and refine operational workflows to support the firm's growth ambitions while maintaining robust internal controls and full regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1.  Portfolio Management Operations

• Manage the full operational lifecycle of discretionary accounts and collective investment schemes (CIS/funds), including onboarding, trade processing, settlement, reconciliation, and client reporting.
• Monitor investment mandates and portfolio rebalancing; implement pre-and post-trade controls to ensure absolute compliance with client mandates, risk parameters, and regulatory limits.
• Work closely with custodians, fund administrators, prime brokers, and transfer agents to optimize operational efficiency

2. Regulatory Compliance & Governance

• Develop and continuously enhance operational policies and internal controls in strict compliance with the SFC and SFO requirements; conduct regular reviews of operational workflows to identify control gaps and mitigate operational risk.
• Act as the primary point of contact for internal/external audits and regulatory reviews, ensuring timely resolution of audit findings.
• Ensure proper maintenance of books, records, client documentation, and regulatory filings.

3.  Team Leadership & Innovation

• Lead and upscale a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability and integrity, and setting clear KPIs and structured career development plans.
• Drive ongoing process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance operational scalability and precision.

Requirements

• Minimum 10–12 years in wealth/asset management operations or fund administration, with 4–5+ years in a managerial leadership role.
• Solid hands-on experience in discretionary portfolio management and CIS/fund operations (including trade lifecycle and NAV oversight).
• Thorough knowledge of SFO regulations, SFC codes, operational risk frameworks, and internal controls. Prior experience in audit, compliance, or regulatory roles is highly preferred.
• Deep understanding of multi-asset wealth management products.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or related disciplines. Professional credentials (CPA, ACCA, HKICPA, or legal qualifications) are a significant advantage.
• Excellent English and Chinese; fluency in Mandarin is essential.
