About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Hi-Style Manufacturing Company as a Shipping Supervisor - Apparel.  In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing shipments of the company's China origin apparel product to international markets from our Sheung Wan office.

What you'll be doing

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the shipping department to ensure timely & accurate delivery of orders and processing of shipping and banking documents & tasks

• Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, banks and other logistics partners to coordinate the export process from initial booking of space to final delivery of cargo at destination

• Able to handle online booking platforms through nominated forwarders systems and overseas buyers systems

• Monitor shipment progress from start to finish and provide updates to internal stakeholders and customers, through to delivery of cargo at destination

• Accurately prepare and review shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, packing lists and customs declarations 

• Able to read and understands customers shipping manual to follow specific documentation procedures

• Identify and resolve any shipping-related issues or discrepancies

• Familiar with TR OA DP DA payment methods

• Prepare and monitor accounts payable and accounts receivables positions with vendors, clients, and internal team members

• Ensure compliance with all relevant customs, trade and export regulations

• To assist in other ad hoc administrative, filing, basic accounting & banking tasks

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a shipping or logistics supervisory role, preferably within the apparel industry

• Strong knowledge of international trade and customs regulations, documentation and clearance procedures

• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask and work under pressure, with a positive attitude

• Proficient in using shipping and logistics management software, as well as MS Office applications

• Outstanding communication and positive interpersonal skills to liaise with internal teams and external partners
