College Lecturer / College Assistant Lecturer (Engineering and Technology) in the Community College
Duties: Tenable from January 2026, the appointee will deliver quality teaching to students in the following subject areas:
Introduction to Data Structures and Algorithms
Digital Logic and Systems
Introduction to Computer Organization
Introduction to Information Technology and AI
Information Management
Information Technology Fundamentals
Innovation and Entrepreneurship (Applied Learning)
He/She will assist in Division/Programme/Course management, organise co-curricular activities, support College’s programme promotion and admission activities, and perform other academic and administrative duties.
Requirements: Candidates should have a postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline (Preference will be given to those who are doctoral candidates or PhD holders) with 2 years’ teaching experience, preferably at tertiary level and with experience in course development/administration. They should have good communication and interpersonal skills, leadership skills, effective classroom management and a passion for teaching.
Candidates with lower qualifications or experience may be considered for the grade of College Assistant Lecturer.
Terms of Appointment: Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The contract will normally be for 2 years with the possibility of renewal subject to review. A contract-end gratuity (taxable) will be payable upon satisfactory completion of the contract. Medical and dental benefits, 18 days’ annual leave and the use of library facilities will be provided where applicable. The School also provides staff development opportunities.
