Duties: Tenable from January 2026, the appointees will deliver quality teaching to students in the following subject(s) of English related courses:
Academic English
Communications
Linguistics/Applied Linguistics
English Literature
Vocational English
They will assist in curriculum design and development of course materials, programme and course management, organise co-curricular activities, support College promotion and admission activities as well as to perform other academic and administrative duties.
Requirements: Candidates should have a postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline (a doctorate would be an added advantage) with 2 years’ teaching experience preferably at tertiary level and experience in course development/administration. In possession of teaching-related qualifications (e.g. TEFL/ TESOL) is essential for the subject of Academic English. Preference will be given to candidates who possess demonstrated experience in course leadership, curriculum design and development of test papers and course/teaching materials.
Candidates with less qualifications or experience will be considered for the grade of College Assistant Lecturer.
Terms of Appointment: Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The contract will normally be for 2 years with the possibility of renewal subject to review. A contract-end gratuity (taxable) will be payable upon satisfactory completion of the contract. Medical and dental benefits, 18 days’ annual leave and the use of library facilities will be provided where applicable. The School also provides staff development opportunities.
