Temporary Research Assistant II (QEF Project) in Oriental Studies Subject Group in the College of Humanities and Law

Duties: The appointee will assist the Programme Director in the coordination and administration of the “Quality Education Fund (QEF) Thematic Network - Designated Themes on Learn and Thrive Together – Supporting Kindergarten Students in Learning Chinese” project. The appointee will assist in project coordination, data collection and analysis, and the development of curriculum materials. Responsibilities include supporting research activities, preparing reports and academic papers, assisting in the organisation of seminars and events, and managing project-related content on social media platforms to enhance public engagement.

Requirements: Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree. Preference will be given to candidates with early childhood teaching and teacher training experience. They should have good communication skills in Chinese and English as well as good interpersonal and organisational skills. They should be familiar with MS Office and quantitative research methods and be able to work both independently and with a project team. Experience in research on Chinese language teaching will be an advantage.

Terms of Appointment: Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The contract will be on temporary basis with expected end date of 31 August 2026.
