Senior Chemist (Organic Chemistry)

To cope with our expansion, we are looking for a energetic and passionate candidate to join our chemical Team.

What you will be doing?
 

• Assist supervisor to monitor technical staff for daily operations of the analytical chemistry laboratory

• Carry out routine chemical testing according to SOP

• Monitor instrument performance and maintain daily operations to meet testing turn-around time and deadline of projects

• Develop and implement new test programs, methods, instrumentation, and internal procedures according to regulatory and client requirements

• Ensure the laboratory is operated in accordance with the requirements of ISO 17025. 

• Report work progress, deficiencies and malfunctions to supervisor

• Identify and report any potential problems within the analytical chemistry laboratory to supervisor

You need to be
 

• Degree or above in Chemistry or related subject

• At least 5 years solid experience in operation of a chemical testing laboratory; Experience in supervisory level is an advantage

• Solid experience working in ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory is a must 

• Familiarity with operating and maintenance of analytical instruments, i.e. GC-MSMS, LC-DAD/MSMS, ICP-OES, AAS, UV-Vis, etc. 

• Experience in R&D projects for chemical testing is preferred 

• Self-motivated, independent, good problem-solving skills, and with good communication skills

• Good in organization and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish relationships both internally and externally

• Proficiency in spoken and written English

• Less experience will be considered as Assistant Chemist
