Job Description
Position (a) Duties : (1) To be responsible for the daily management of Community Halls and Community Centres (CHs/CCs), including answering enquiries from general public and overseeing the general condition of security, maintenance, cleaning and the use of facilities by hirers etc; (2) To clean the CHs/CCs and assist the operation of the temporary heat/cold shelter on need basis; (3) To patrol and inspect the conditions of both outdoor and indoor CHs/CCs facilities in Tsuen Wan District and to assist moving furniture and equipment; and (4) To carry out any other duties assigned by staff of Tsuen Wan District Office (such as to assist HAD staff to provide service to the public in the Home Affairs Enquiry Centre). Position (b) Duties : (1) To assist in the operation of the Home Affairs Department’s temporary shelters/temporary cold shelters/temporary night heat shelters in CHs/CCs when activated, including registration of shelter users, distributing meals, handling enquiries and complaints, patrolling the shelter and overseeing the work of contractual staff (such as security guards and cleansing staff); and (2) To handle any other appropriate duties assigned.
Requirements
(1) Applicants should have obtained education level at Primary 6 or above (when submitting applications, applicants should also submit copies of their academic qualification certificates and/or official transcripts); (2) Speak fluent Cantonese and be able to read and write simple Chinese and English; and (3) Preference will be given to applicants with relevant experience.? Note: Applicants submitting application forms by mail or in person may complete one application form for the two jobs currently being advertised for recruitment. Terms of Appointment: (1) Successful candidate will be appointed on Non-civil service contract terms for one year. Contract renewal will be subject to the satisfactory performance, operational needs and availability of resources. (2) Candidates will be appointed on part time basis with irregular working hours and need to work on any days including Mondays to Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays, as and when required. Required to work overnight if necessary. (3) The working hours may vary from month to month; and (4) Working Location: Tsuen Wan (Working out of office may be required)

Remuneration
Position (a) HKD$56.2 per hour Position (b) Day Shift (0830-1730): HKD$71.4 per hour; Night Shift (1730-0830 the next day): HKD$90.9 per hour
Fringe Benefits 5% MPF contribution, plus Employment Ordinance benefits (as appropriate)
