Job Description
(a) to assist in organising various celebration and community activities including coordinating with government departments and non-government organisations; (b) to assist in computer data inputting and liaison work; (c) to assist in office administration, personnel and accounting matters; (d) to assist in drawing up sketches, printing and putting up table/seat labels, arranging souvenirs, handling inventories and stores, etc; (e) any other duties as assigned including delivery of materials and outdoor duties; and (f) if necessary, will be required to work outside normal office hours including Saturday, Sunday and public holidays.
Requirements
(a) (i) Level 2 or equivalent (Note 1) or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) (Note 2), or equivalent; or (ii) Level 2 (Note 3) / Grade E or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) (Note 2), or equivalent; and (b) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 (Note 3) or above in Chinese Language and English Language in HKDSEE or HKCEE, or equivalent; and (c) a minimum of two year’s full-time clerical or secretarial working experience; and (d) good computer knowledge including proficiency of MS Word and Excel; and (e) Chinese word processing speed of 20 words per minute and English word processing speed of 30 words per minute. Suitable candidates may be required to attend a typing speed test.? Note: (1) “Attained with Distinction” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade C in Other Language subjects in the HKDSEE are accepted as equivalent to Level 3 in the New Senior Secondary subjects in the HKDSEE. “Attained” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade E in Other Language subjects in the HKDSEE are accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the New Senior Secondary subjects in the HKDSEE. (2) The subjects may include Chinese Language and English Language. (3) ‘Grade C’ and ‘Grade E’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 3’ and ‘Level 2’ respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
Terms of Appointment: Successful candidates will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms from April/ May 2026 to November/ December 2026. Renewal of contract will be subject to the service need of the Department and the performance of the candidate.
Remuneration
$14,150 per month
Fringe Benefits Rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), annual leave, maternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.
