Shelter Assistant (Part-time) (Sham Shui Po District)-(Non-Civil)
Job Description
(a) To assist in the operation of the Home Affairs Department’s temporary shelters/ temporary cold shelters/ temporary night heat shelters in Community Halls and Community Centres when activated, including registration of shelter users, distributing meals, handling enquiries and complaints, patrolling the shelter and overseeing the work of contractual staff (such as security guards and cleansing staff); and
(b) To handle any other appropriate duties assigned.
Requirements
(a) Obtained education level at Primary 6 or above, or equivalent.

Terms of Appointment: Successful candidates will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms. The duration of employment will be one year.
To work on shift in the Community Centre/ Community Hall in Sham Shui Po District.
Working hour is not fixed. Successful candidates may be required to work over-night on any days, including Saturday, Sundays and Public Holidays as and when required (Remarks: The working hours may vary from month to month).

General Notes: (a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

(g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications. They should submit copies of their official transcripts and certificates by mail to the above contact address.
Remuneration
Salary: Day Shift (0830hrs – 1730hrs): HKD$64.8 per hour
Night Shift (1730hrs – 0830hrs the next day): HKD$82.4 per hour

Fringe Benefits Unless one of the exemptions specified in the Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) Scheme Ordinance (Cap. 485) is applicable to the successful candidate, the Government will arrange to make contributions for the candidate to a registered MPF scheme. Other benefits such as rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), maternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions in the Employment Ordinance when applicable.
