What You'll Do

• Support aircraft maintenance operation by managing all the spares requirements for assigned aircraft projects or workshop repair order.
• Provide relevant material information to all related parties in a timely manner that can ensure the acquired spares comply with regulatory requirements, thus, to deliver the final product with safety and quality.
• Evaluate and provide options of alternate materials to fulfill shortages for Production / Technical Services / Customer to consider.
• Manage material consumption by working with Production departments to reduce material wastage and monitor budget compliance.
• Control and monitor the spares requirements for aircraft projects and ensure timely availability of materials from HAECO and Customers under minimum supervision.
• Similar to those of Lead Material Controller except that the job holder will be engaged in a greater variety of tasks which are more complex in nature.  Besides, the job holder will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Manage material consumption by working with Production departments to reduce material wastage and monitor budget compliance.
  • Generate / review reports from HAECO Material System as required for material analysis and provide recommendations.
  • Manage and control material consumption by working with Production department to reduce material wastage and monitor budget compliance.
  • Manage maintenance project materials consumption, charging and residues reduction.
  • Liaise with internal and external customers on material usage enquiries.
  • Liaise with suppliers and logistics service providers to expedite spares delivery to timely fulfill material demands.
  • Evaluate and provide options of alternate materials to fulfill shortages for Production / Technical Services / Customer to consider.
  • Review processes and make recommendations as to where savings in cost or better performance can be realized
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Shift duty may require (subject to operation need).

What You Need

1. Functional and other Relevant Experience

• Minimum 4 years relevant experience for HKCEE / HKDSE graduates or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience for Diploma holder in relevant disciplines or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience for Higher Diploma / Degree holder in relevant disciplines

2. Qualifications and other Relevant Knowledge

• English – Attained HKCEE Grade E or HKDSE Grade 3
• Meet performance requirement if promoting from Lead Material Controller
• Meet department manpower needs and recommendation and passed the selection process
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good command of conversational English and Chinese
• Good command of written English
• Good PC skills with Microsoft Office applications preferred
• Good supply chain and / or aircraft maintenance knowledge
• Good Airworthiness regulations knowledge
• Good supervisory and coaching skills
• Supply chain and / or aircraft maintenance knowledge
• Able to work independently and make logical judgment under pressure
• Familiar with aircraft spares / AOG sourcing process
• Passed training on Customer Service Skills (Frontline), Instructing & Coaching and one Aircraft Type General Familiarization
• Passed Trade Test administered by MM Department
• Demonstrated proficiency in use of company IT System and relevant customer systems as assessed by MM Specialist
