Research Services Section, Academic Services Office 

The Academic Services Office is seeking a dynamic and strategic professional to join our team as Manager of the Research Services Section. This role is central to fostering a vibrant research culture and enhancing the College’s research quality and performance.

The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and implementing College-level research policies, regulations, and guidelines. This position is designed to cultivate a strong research environment, facilitate research activities and funding applications, and oversee projects funded from both internal and external sources. We are looking for an initiative-taking individual who will proactively develop and lead action plans to build a sustainable and effective research ecosystem.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate the application process for external research funding, including internal assessment and submission.
  • Monitor and manage externally funded projects and internally funded research-related activities.
  • Prepare and manage the research budget in alignment with College-wide research policies and strategies.
  • Support the development and implementation of internal research policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Serve as Secretary to relevant College-level Committees and Panels.
  • Provide administrative oversight for College research units.
  • Manage documentation and records related to research and scholarly activities, including coordinating the development of an institutional research repository and grant management system.
  • Promote a research culture and facilitate the dissemination of research information and deliverables.

 

Qualifications:

  • A postgraduate degree in a relevant field, with substantial experience in research administration, preferably within higher education.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement research policies and strategic initiatives.
  • Strong organizational, budgetary, and project management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with academic staff, committees, and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive, innovative, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
