We are seeking an accomplished and visionary senior academic leader to serve as Associate Vice President. The incumbent will play a pivotal role in advancing the Institution’s academic excellence, innovation & technology development, while supporting its strategic aspiration to achieve university status in applied sciences.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strong leadership to academic and central IT teams, fostering high performance and talent development

• Ensure robust development and oversight of academic programmes to maintain relevance, quality and competitiveness

• Champion student nurturing and support holistic student development

• Promote research excellence, industry collaboration and knowledge transfer in related disciplines

• Drive institutional initiatives such as Information Technology development embracing AI and cybersecurity, digital transformation for operational efficiency

• Build and sustain productive collaborations with local, regional and international partners in academia and industries

• Drive the Institution’s strategic goals as a member of the senior management team

Requirements:

• Strong academic standing in Science & Technology (Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline preferred)

• Substantial working experience at senior management level and proven record of achievements within a higher education setting (concrete experience in leading academic and professional accreditations is a must)

• Able to plan strategically, drive for results, and handle complex issues tactfully in a fast-changing environment

• Keen to interpret public policies, align the Institution’s strategies with public policies and follow through implementations

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese
