Senior Human Resources Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Senior HR Manager to work with the Associate Director to lead the Human Resources Department and its initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Associate Director in overseeing the full spectrum of HR activities, including policy development, system implementation, legal compliance, and aligning HR action plans with institutional growth and goals
  • Lead recruitment efforts, enhance the recruitment process, and partner with academic and administrative units to secure high-calibre talent
  • Design and implement staff training and training/scholarly activities record system to align with institutional requirements
  • Benchmark HR market practices, formulate HR proposals and initiatives related to workforce planning, workflow streamlining, employee benefit improvement, digital transformation, etc., to keep pace with evolving demands
  • Address employee relations, grievance handling, and disciplinary procedures
  • Lead and supervise HR tech adoption, including AI tools and HR Information System, to support analytics, workflow automation, and enhanced efficiency
  • Collaborate with management to enable organizational change, increase employee commitment and capability, and achieve company goals
  • Prepare analytical HR reports, including accreditation reports related to manpower matters
  • Participate in ad hoc HR projects and management tasks

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resources Management, or related disciplines
  • Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience, preferably within Hong Kong’s higher education sector
  • Proven leadership, demonstrating strong stakeholder engagement and cross-institutional networking
  • Well-versed with the Employment Ordinance and other related ordinances and regulations
  • Skilled in MS Office and HR information systems; capable of leveraging data analytics for decision-making and process improvements
  • Excellent written and spoken proficiency in English and Chinese, including Putonghua, with experience in drafting formal reports and proposals
  • Maturity, independent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, readiness to roll up sleeves, and interpersonal adaptability
