Housekeeping Supervisor

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures provision of an up to standard housekeeping service by allocating work to subordinates and checking the cleanliness and servicing of rooms, corridors, service pantry, outlets, public areas, back of house areas and exit stairs in satisfactory standard

  • Ensures completing of urgent repairs and reporting on losses and breakage by supervising maintenance of equipment and maintaining communication with related departments

  • Follows up customers’ on site requests about housekeeping services

  • Supervises and trains subordinates on proper methods to ensure the performance and safety of employees is up to the standard

  • Prepares reports on areas required on maintenance and repairs

  • Reports any irregularities and unusual matters in their responsible area

Requirements:

  • Good knowledge of using different types of cleaning machines such as floor scrubbing machine, forklift, vacuum cleaner, carpet extractor, upholstery extractor, escalator cleaning machine and ride on cleaning machine

  • Capable to organize subordinates and allocated work accordingly

  • Capable to report on subordinates performance

  • Capable to provide reference, on-the-job training to subordinates and resolve problem
