Manager - Human Resources

This position is responsible for managing and coordinating personnel activities across multiple departments, including talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, policy interpretation, and employee relations. Acting as a strategic HR Business Partner, the role ensures that HR initiatives—such as workforce planning, HRIS optimization, and employee engagement—are aligned with company objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business leaders to coordinate and manage recruitment, screening, and interviewing processes; provide strategic guidance on talent selection and placement.

  • Develop and implement programs that foster positive employee relations, enhancing teamwork, collaboration, and motivation across departments.

  • Oversee the administration of compensation and benefits programs; design and recommend enhancements to ensure competitiveness and employee satisfaction.

  • Lead the design and execution of performance appraisal systems, salary administration policies, and employee safety and health initiatives.

  • Advise and support management in handling employee complaints, grievances, and disciplinary actions, ensuring fair and consistent practices.

  • Conduct workforce analytics through interviews, surveys, and HRIS data, preparing reports with findings, insights, and recommendations.

  • Interpret and communicate HR policy intent, ensuring consistent application across the Centre; develop departmental policies aligned with organizational standards.

  • Manage the annual HR budget effectively, maximizing employee benefits and welfare programs.

  • Drive HRIS implementation and optimization as a core project, ensuring accurate, real-time reporting and streamlined HR processes.

  • Act as a strategic partner to management, aligning HR initiatives with business objectives to support organizational growth and employee engagement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in the business sector, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.

  • Proven expertise in applying HR policies and procedures to effectively manage personnel activities within a major department.

  • Solid experience in HR operations, with hands-on involvement in HRIS implementation, system enhancement, and data analytics to support decision-making.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate diverse activities, including employee relations programs & initiatives.

  • Excellent communication skills, including questioning, listening, persuasion, presentation, and facilitation.

  • High proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese; Mandarin is an advantage.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to act as a strategic HR Business Partner, aligning HR initiatives with business objectives.

  • Candidates with less experience may be considered for the role of Assistant Manager – Human Resources.
