Senior Manager - Social Innovation (Social & Elderly Wellness) [Ref: SM(SEW)]

The Job

  • To assist the GM(ES) to drive social innovations in elderly housing and services, coordinate the development of new senior housing projects, establish the related operational objectives, plans and policies in alignment with the corporate strategy.
  • To oversee the operation of the Elderly Resources Centre and the elderly portal, ensuring these services and facilities are operated within available resources and according to the corporate strategies and financial targets laid down by HKHS.
  • To coordinate with other divisions in the development of new senior housing projects to ensure the facilities are age-friendly and conducive to delivering holistic services.
  • To be responsible for coordinating the central administration and staffing matters of elderly services in accordance with the policies laid down by HKHS, and are in full compliance with legal requirements.
  • To be responsible for maintaining superior standard of professional services, safety, tidiness, sanitation and maintenance of facilities.
  • To devise marketing strategies and implement promotional activities of the respective services of ESS to recruit service users through various channels, including but not limited to the mass media and social media.
  • To promote the elderly services of HKHS to all stakeholders.
  • To develop collaborative relationship with local and international stakeholders, including but not limited to professional organizations, government departments, user groups and related private agencies.
  • To be responsible for receiving local and overseas visitors from related service industries for business exchange.
  • To represent the Elderly Services Section in relevant meetings, working groups and conferences, when necessary.
  • To maintain a good working relationship with all parties concerned.
  • To undertake any other duties as assigned by the GM (ES) deems appropriate.

The Person

  • Degree holder, preferably in business administration / marketing / global business / social work / health care administration.
  • Minimum 12 years post-qualification experience with at least 8 years in management position.
  • Experience in running self-financing services is preferable.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organization, co-ordination, analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient understanding of accounting and financial principles and practices and good knowledge of the operating procedures, budgeting and cost control of health care facilities.
  • Fluent spoken and written English and Chinese.
