Senior Officer (Community Relations) [Ref: SO(CR)]

The Job

  • Assist in building a community network with relevant stakeholders, such as District Council members, local NGOs and concern groups, to facilitate the smooth implementation of housing projects, to mitigate issues and to manage disputes.
  • Assist in handling enquiries, requests and complaints from members of the District Councils, community leaders, local opinion leaders and concern groups.
  • Undertake the analysis of local sentiments and intelligence.  Perform desktop searches and provide summaries and analysis reports on community issues.
  • Provide logistical support for community programmes and the cultural heritage preservation programme.

The Person

  • Degree holder in Public Relations, Communications, Social Science or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, with proven track record in handling community engagement and event management.
  • Working exposure in public organisations or sizeable corporations is preferred.
  • High proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese & Putonghua)
  • Sensitive to the political climate and public affairs, especially housing issues.
  • Computer literacy in using MS applications, such as Word, Chinese Word Processing, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Good knowledge in the design and production of publications and videos.
  • Irregular work hours and overtime required.
