We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Science & Technology:
Academic Support Officer (S&T) (Ref: 26000O1)
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
- Coordinating and providing general support to the daily operations of the School of Science and Technology, including academic programmes, quality assurance, research, projects and activities carried out by the School;
- Providing secretarial support for school committees;
- Handling enquiries and liaising with internal and external parties;
- Assisting in general administrative duties including office management, event organization, recruitment, budgeting and staff supervision; and
- Performing any other duties as assigned by the Dean (S&T) or his/her nominee(s).
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
- A recognized degree with post-qualification working experience, preferable in the tertiary education sector;
- Attentive to details, self-motivated, responsible and have the ability to multitask;
- Good organization and interpersonal skills;
- Good computer skills; and
- Good communication skills in English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
